Ever be driving down a road you’ve driven down literally thousands of times and suddenly nothing looks familiar?
Just for a second then it’s back to normal.

Not quite the same thing, but I swear this really happened when I was a kid: Me and a buddy of mine happened to be in the hallway outside our babysitter’s apartment when it was time for his mother to pick him up. A woman looking nothing like what I had remembered his mother looking like came by and said she was there to pick him up. They got into a conversation like he was trying to figure out who she was and why she was there instead of his mother. Finally, he “agreed” to go with her, and she was the one picking him up everyday from then on. I never asked about it, but I could have sworn the woman picking him up *every day* before that has looked very different before that day…
That’s all sorts of odd man!
Yes, I’ve done this. I don’t like that feeling at all. It happens when I’ve been in deep thought or ‘zoned out’ as I refer to those moments.
